This conference and expo will bring together over 150 businesses, information security providers and key influencers to discuss the threats posed by online criminals and the practical ways in which business make themselves more resilient to cyber crime. Core themes this year will include the security implications of cloud services, changes to data protection legislation and the risks associated with working remotely.
Through a series of presentations, workshops and panel discussions, this exhibition and conference will explore how best to support East Midlands businesses against cyber crime and to examine possible future needs in order to ensure that businesses across the region are equipped with the necessary skills and infrastructure to guard themselves against this growing and developing threat.
Various sessions will be aimed at all levels of “cyber” knowledge, ranging from businesses working in the information security industry to those business owners/managers wanting to gain practical advice on the basic steps they can take to secure their business.
Recent high profile ransomware attacks have graphically illustrated the damaging effects of a cyber attack on businesses. This presentation examines the recent attacks and the lessons to be learned from them.
